SUBJECT:

The AP cannot be detected by the Site Survey tool.

QUESTION:

I cannot detect my NDC Access Point using Site Survey tool.

ANSWER:

1. Please check if the distance between the AP and wireless PC is too great.

2. Please check the "Secure SSID" setting of your AP:

  • Use AP COMFig Tool or APMS to configure your AP.
  • Open Service/View and Modify AP Configuration/General from AP COMFig Tool or open Config/AP Setting/Wireless from APMS.
  • If Secure SSID field is checked (selected), it hides the SSID in outgoing beacon frames. A site survey tool will not find the AP.
