SUBJECT:
The AP and wireless adapter are working, but the PC cannot
connect to wired Ethernet LAN via the AP.
QUESTION:
My NDC wireless adapter is connecting to Access
Point, and both of them are working. But my PC cannot
access the resource of wired Ethernet LAN via the AP.
ANSWER:
1. Please check the "Protocol Filter" setting
of your Access Point:
- Use AP COMFig Tool or APMS to configure your AP.
- Open "Filter" option from Service/View and
modify AP Configuration of AP COMFig Tool or from Config/AP
settings of APMS.
- If the Protocol Filter has blocked required protocols
(e.g. TCP/IP) to the PC, please uncheck these protocols
from the filtering list.
2. Please check the "MAC access control" setting
of your Access Point:
- Use APMS to configure your AP.
- Open Config/AP Settings/MAC Access Control option.
- If the Access Options field is "Denied List",
the MAC address of your wireless adpater is in the list
and the Status is Enabled, your PC is rejected access.
Please delete your wireless adapter from the list or change
the Status of your wireless adapter to Disabled.
- If the Access Options filed is "Accepted List",
the MAC address of your wireless adapter is not in the
list or the Status of your wireless adapter in the list
is Disabled, your PC is rejected access.
Please add your wireless adapter to the list or change
the Status of your wireless adapter to Enabled.
- After changing the MAC access control setting, you
must reset the AP before the new configuration takes effect.
3. Please make sure the IP settings of your PC are correct,
e.g. its IP address is uniqure, and its subnet mask and
Gateway IP address are the same as those of wired Ethernet
LAN.
