SUBJECT:
Telnet or SNMP is used as the network management system
of the AP?
ANSWER:
Our network management system is of the SNMP style.
As we know, most new network devices (bridge, switch,
router, gateway...) are being developed the console system
for management features via SNMP, not Telnet. Both of
these
two methods don't need RS-232 connection. Because both
Telnet
and SNMP belong to the TCP/IP winsock application.
Our SNMP application program is named APMS(AP Management
System). The APMS of our NDC can do all things
the
COMFig (serial-based administration console) can do except
for the diagnosing feature.
p.s. You can download the newest APMS and AP firmware
from the Wireless Products section of our web sites'
Drivers pages.
