NDC Supplies Furuno with Customized Industrial Access Points
April , 2004

Drawing on its many years of experience in the design and manufacture of wireless local-area network (WLAN) equipment, National Datacomm Corporation (NDC) recently began delivering custom-designed and custom-built industrial access points to marine and medical electronics giant Furuno Electric Company of Kansai, Japan. Specially adapted for use in large-scale distribution systems, the access points officially went on the market in Japan.

From production to final delivery, the movement of goods requires efficient management at every point. Whether in shipping, inspection, warehousing, wholesaling, distribution, or final delivery, wireless handheld POS-type devices linked to back-end servers can greatly reduce labor and management costs. Used in conjunction with bar-code readers, the customized access points delivered to Furuno - a company renowned in Japan for its marine satellite navigation and shipboard data management systems - feature rock-solid signal quality and low power consumption, and can be of enormous benefit in streamlining materiel management not only for high-volume distributors of goods but for offices, schools, and hospitals.

NDC entered the WLAN field in 1995, and possesses a wealth of experience in the design and manufacture of wireless networking equipment. NDC's custom solutions are helping customers in many industries enhance their competitiveness through application of WLAN technology to their specialized needs. To see how you can move into the wireless age in the quickest, most cost-effective way possible, visit us during Computex 2004 at booth A533,A535.
