WLAN Professional Provider, National Datacomm Corporation,
attracted European buyers by presenting the Wireless Outdoor
Bridge and GPRS Card in Computex Taipei 2003.
The WLAN Outdoor bundle utilizes IEEE 802.11b standard,
and includes: the WLAN Outdoor Bridge, the WLAN outdoor
solution, the WLAN Outdoor Access Point, and the Outdoor
Wireless Ethernet Client. The WLAN Outdoor Bundle supports
128-bit WEP, with Power-over-Ethernet, Wireless Management
system, and boosts transmission ranges up to 18 miles.
The Outdoor Bridge is able to transmit a stable signal
under extreme weather conditions and temperature ranging
from -20C to 70C. The Wireless Outdoor Bridge NWH9210
has received not only CE, FCC approval but TELEC approval
in Japan, making NDC the only WLAN manufacturer in Taiwan
to hold this approval. The highly-anticipated Wireless
Outdoor Bridge with the IEEE 802.11g standard is set for
release in December.
In anticipation of the customer's need for one-stop shopping,
NDC not only released GPRS+WLAN Card but is releasing
GPRS Card. The NWH1600 is compliant with the GPRS standards
making it suitable for any mobile device with a PCMCIA
slot. The NWH1600 utilizes strong GSM authentication and
encryption mechanisms for secure connections to cellular
networks. Dial-up, SMS and Voice Support are available.
