NDC, one of Taiwan's pioneers in wireless networking
solutions, today announced the launch of a new InstantWave™
Access Point and PC Card utilizing Texas Instruments'
22Mbps 802.11b+ Wireless Solution.
IEEE 802.11b+ uses the same radio frequency as IEEE 802.11b
and both solutions interoperate with each other. IEEE
802.11b+ device bandwidth is 22Mbps, twice that of IEEE
802.11b (11Mbps). The 11b+ solution also features increased
security and privacy via 256-bit WEP encryption. Importantly,
11b+ production costs are even lower than regular 11b
solutions. You get a faster, safer Wireless LAN networking
environment at a lower cost.
InstantWave™ also provides easy-to-use GUI-based
wireless network management tools that use professional-level
advanced auto-discovery protocols to help manage the Wireless
LAN.
Key Features:
- Packet Binary Convolutional Coding supports 22Mbps
data transfer rate.
- 256-bit WEP encryption.
- Additional 30% reach improvement versus CCK-only solutions.
- Array antenna for wider coverage and reduced multi-path
fading.
- Auto-discovery protocols
